Diamonds & Certification
Yes. Every diamond jewellery piece sold by Urja Jewels is certified by an international laboratory and documented as a natural diamond, along with details of its quality and weight. A physical certificate with a QR code is provided for verification. The certificate includes relevant diamond details such as its image, colour, quality and weight.
Our collection includes daily-wear diamond rings, solitaire rings, cocktail rings, diamond earrings and hoops, chandelier earrings, diamond pendants, lightweight and bridal necklaces, pendant chains and charms, tennis bracelets, oval and round bracelets, nosepins, and diamond jewellery featuring precious and semi-precious gemstones. Custom orders are also welcome.
Gold Jewellery
For gold jewellery, we offer 22KT and 18KT gold. Selected 24KT gold jewellery can also be made to order, with nominal making charges. Diamond jewellery is primarily crafted in 14KT gold, with custom orders available in 18KT and 9KT gold.
Our gold collection includes 22KT and 18KT jewellery, antique and antique-finish jewellery, temple jewellery, gold chains, bangles, bracelets, rings, necklaces and other traditional and contemporary designs. We are particularly known for antique and antique-finish jewellery.
Exchange & Return
For diamond jewellery, 5% is deducted from the diamond value stated on the invoice for exchange and 10% for return. Gold value is calculated at the prevailing market rate quoted by the Nepal Gem & Jewellery Association (NEGJA). For gemstone-studded jewellery, exchange or return is available at 80% of the value, provided the jewellery is returned in the same condition as at purchase. Repair or damage-related costs may be deducted depending on condition. The original invoice is required. Government taxes such as VAT and Luxury Tax are non-refundable. Refunds are made through banking channels to the person named on the invoice.
Gold jewellery is valued at the prevailing market rate quoted by the Nepal Gem & Jewellery Association (NEGJA), based on the gold purity stated on the invoice. For exchanges or returns involving a variation in weight, the jewellery is subject to an authenticity check before value is determined. Government taxes such as Luxury Tax are non-refundable. The original invoice is required, and refunds are made through banking channels to the person named on the invoice.
Old Gold Exchange
Yes. We accept old gold towards the purchase of gold or diamond jewellery from Urja Jewels. Proof of ownership is required, such as the original purchase invoice.
Your gold is tested and valued based on its purity and the prevailing market rate quoted by the Nepal Gem & Jewellery Association (NEGJA) at the time of exchange. Once the value is determined, it can be applied towards the purchase of jewellery from Urja Jewels.
Custom Jewellery
Yes. Our in-house designers can work with you to create jewellery based on your preferences, inspiration images or specific requirements. Consultations are available in-store and virtually. You can also share reference images to receive an initial estimate. A standard custom order generally takes around 21 days, depending on the design and requirements.
Jewellery Care & Services
Yes. For jewellery purchased from Urja Jewels, we provide complimentary professional cleaning, complimentary ring sizing, one complimentary polishing and one complimentary rhodium plating. For jewellery purchased elsewhere, services such as diamond setting and polishing are available at nominal charges depending on the scope of work.
Yes. We can help transform old or unused jewellery into a new design. Where suitable, our in-house designers and artisans can work with your existing gold, diamonds or gemstones to create a contemporary piece while retaining elements of the original jewellery.
Shopping from Outside Nepal
Yes. Customers outside Nepal can shop with us virtually. We can share clear, unedited photographs and videos of selected jewellery, with the same pricing and offers available for in-store purchases. You can also view our collection through a video call with our sales team during store hours. Once you have selected your jewellery, we can arrange delivery to a local contact in Nepal. Overseas shipping is also available for selected diamond jewellery, with charges calculated according to the destination country and value of the jewellery.
